Working Out
One of my biggest passions is hitting the gym and engaging in intense workouts. I played sports for my first two years of high school, but once I stopped, my focus shifted towards maintaining an active lifestyle. Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I stumbled upon a newfound love for exercise, and it quickly became an integral part of my routine. Ever since then, working out has become part of my daily lifestyle.
I love to start my mornings off with a good workout at the Lyon Center on campus. The walk to the gym gives me time to sit with my thoughts, and my workout helps to provide me with a sense of clarity as I kickstart my day. It's freeing and it makes me feel good. Establishing a consistent regimen has been key, and I've even gotten my friend to go consistently with me. My days feel incomplete without it, but of course I find time for rest on the weekends.
Driving and Listening to Music
Driving and listening is one of my favorite things to do. Music has always been a passion of mine, but there is something special that comes with experiencing it in the confines of a car. I love the sound system in my car because I feel like it really elevates my entire listening experience. This makes it one of my favorite pastimes.
Beyond the music, I simply enjoy the act of driving itself. Driving solo or with friends adds another layer of enjoyment to the experience. There's an undeniable camaraderie that forms when belting out lyrics together. Whether I'm alone, lost in my thoughts and the music, or surrounded by friends sharing the moment, the combination of driving and music creates an atmosphere of pure freedom and exhilaration.
Whether it's cruising along scenic routes or navigating through city streets, there's a sense of liberation that comes with it. Sometimes, I go on drives simply to clear my mind or just for the fun of it. While I don't do this as often as I'd like, particularly due to the rising cost of gas, I always find joy in those moments when I do.
